The word "better than" in Thai language we say "dee-gwàa" (ดีกว่า)

[Comparative Adjective ]

dee = good, nice, well (ดี)

gwàa = more,more than (กว่า)

The pattern of comparatives is       adj+ gwàa
For example                                    paeng gwàa (แพงกว่า) [more expensive than]

                        paeng   = expensive (แพง)

gwàa = more,more than (กว่า)

náng-sěu lêm née dee gwàa lêm nán

หนังสือเล่มนี้ดีกว่าเล่มนั้น
