The possessive pronouns 'mine'in Thai language we say
kŏrng di-chán(ของดิฉัน) for female speaker.
or kŏrng chán (ของฉัน) for female speaker. [informal]
kŏrng pŏm (ของผม) for male speaker.
The pattern is kŏrng + personal pronoun
This car is mine. = rót kan née kŏrng pŏm
(รถคันนี้ของผม) [male speaker]
rót (รถ) = car kan
(คัน)
= classifier for car claasifier+née(....นี้) = This... [always used with classifier] rót-kan-née
(รถคันนี้) = This car kŏrng
(ของ)
= of, belong to
pŏm (ผม) = I , me [male speaker]
so rót-kan-née kŏrng pŏm= This car is mine.
The word 'my 'in Thai language we also say..... kŏrng chán (ของฉัน) for female speaker. [informal] kŏrng pŏm (ของผม) for male speaker.
So
This is my car. we say nêe rót kŏrng pŏm
(นี่รถของผม) [male speaker]
nêe (นี่) [falling tone] = This is.... ,These are....
rót
(รถ) = car
kŏrng (ของ) = of, belong to
pŏm
(ผม) = I , me [male speaker.]
rót-kŏrng-pŏm
(รถของผม)
= my car
Sometimes we drop kŏrng we say just nêe rót [kŏrng] pŏm
