The word order is ......
adjective or adverb + gern-bpai

in order to say something is more than you need or more than is acceptable.
I am too thin. = chán pŏrm [gern] bpai
(ฉันผอมเกินไป) [ female speaker]

The food is too spicy. = aa-hăan pèt [gern] bpai
(อาหารเผ็ดเกินไป)
